I founded Path to Admissions because navigating the college admissions process should not be stressful. It should be an exciting time for both students and families. PTA provides individual college admission counseling to high school students and their families. Each student has different needs and I want to respond to those. Our local high school counselors are wonderful people but have a huge number of students to see as well as a number of different responsibilities. We work with a limited number of students per year so we can remain available to you during the entire process. Passionate about finding your student the right school for them, we will do everything we can to meet your expectations. This includes advising, organization and work sessions, and reminders of application and scholarship deadlines. Please look at our services page and if you have any comments or questions, contact us.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Oklahoma State University. Several years ago I started volunteering at my daughter's high school in the guidance and counseling office. There I saw a need for some students and families to work with an independent college admissions counselor. I went back to school and completed my certification in College Admissions Counseling through the University of California, San Diego. I am a member of the Texas Association of College Admission Counselors (TACAC), a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA). Both NACAC and HECA are selective professional organizations for independent college counselors. I am also an associate member with IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants Association.
